The Dietitians of Canada held their latest annual conference in June 2015, which again included a stellar showcase of dietetic research.
Presented over the three days of the conference, the showcase featured a diverse array of topics and inspired lively discussion regarding the findings’ impacts on dietetic practice.
In all, 50 researchers presented their topic in a variety of areas: Dietetic Practice and Education; Determinants of Food Choice/Dietary Intake; Clinical Research and Patient Services, Community-Based Nutritional Care; Children’s Wellness and Public Health, and more.
In addition, three student researchers presented their work in a special symposium. These included Cindy Fajardo, this year’s CFDR National Morgan Medal award winner.
Many thanks to Marcia Cooper PhD, RD, Chair of the Abstract Review Committee, Karol Traviss, MSc, RD, Chair of the Student Symposium Committee, and their committee members for reviewing the abstracts and planning the 2015 CFDR Research Showcase. Also thanks to all of our session moderators at the event.
Abstracts are posted to the CFDR website at http://www.cfdr.ca/sharing/abstracts.aspx. Please visit the site to review the depth and breadth of dietetic research across Canada.
