CFDR announces dates for the 2017 research grant competition, 2017 Morgan awards, and oral and poster presentations at the 2017 Dietitians of Canada National Conference

    Research Grant Competition
    The 2016/17 research grant competition is now open and letters of intent are due for submission by electronic mail to info@cfdr.ca by no later than 11:59 PM [EST] September 15, 2016. Please visit our website for full submission criteria and information.
     
    DC Conference Professional Abstracts
    Each year CFDR hosts a dietetic research event in conjunction with the Dietitians of Canada's National Conference. The program provides an excellent opportunity for nutrition and dietetic practice researchers to showcase their work and encourages discussion with peers. Professional abstracts presented at the Conference will be published in the Canadian Journal of Dietetic Practice and Research. Submission periods are as follows:

    Professional Abstracts
    For professional submissions, abstracts will be accepted starting October 1, 2016 until 11:59 PM [EST] March 15, 2017. Please visit our website for full submission criteria and information updates.
     
    Student/Intern Abstracts
    For student submissions, abstracts will be accepted starting October 1, 2016 until 11:59 PM [EST] March 15, 2017. Please visit our website for revised 2017 submission criteria and information updates.
     
    Morgan Awards
    The Morgan Awards program was created in memory of Susan Morgan, Manager of the Canadian Foundation for Dietetic Research from 1999 to 2005, and an ardent supporter of the dietetic profession and of practice-based research. One award is available for each of the six regions of Dietitians of Canada. The national Morgan Medal is chosen from the six finalists. For 2017, we will be accepting applications from October 1, 2016 until 11:59 PM [EST] January 31, 2017.
